Fall Hair Styles

Hello again.

Long time. 3 months Ya? Instead of writing an excuse no one will read I am going to type out my top hairstyles for fall. Everyone is feeling ready for fall and excited for it to cool down but I am honestly not! I miss the beach and shopping and swimming. I didn't do any of that this summer really. I was an adult this summer, no time for fun!

I really like this deep blonde/caramel for fall. It's not too dark and will go great with a fading tan.

This next style is obviously British youtube queen Zoe Sugg. Her hair is a medium length ombre which is still a warm color that will work throughout the year. I think this color and curls will go great with plaid and sweaters this fall.

Above is what will be my next hair color. Anna Saccone Joly is a Irish youtuber and naturally blonde. she gets the ends blonder as well as the front pieces and the rest is all natural. I love it and I need it.

I wanted to go with a dark option and the one that had the color I wanted was ombre too. I swear I'm not trying to do this. The upper browny/chocolate colors are warm and I feel they are perfect for fall weather. Not too dark and ready for winter but also not too blonde for those who don't want to be.

These are just a few samples of what I feel will be a hit this fall. Let me know what you think!

Moving to a Small Town

Hello again!
Long time, no blog. I know. I know.

I haven't done anything of interest to have anything of interest to say. Instead of write post that consist of what I ate today, gluten free corn dogs btw, I'll just not bother. I do want to talk about my recent experience. I just moved from a town of 20,000 to a town of 700. My town of 20,000 was said to be a small town. You would ALWAYS see someone you know at your trip to the local wal-mart. The county fair was a reunion for everyone to see people from high school.

Now, my current town is the size of my high school. You will see the same people everywhere. There is no stop light. This is the type of town country songs are written about. I love every bit of it.

I have never been able to walk safely in my hometown. The other day I walked to the gas station in town and back alone. Safely. It's common to see others do this as well. at 5'2 I am not intimidating in the slightest either. I also went to the local festival and everyone knew everyone. Not once did I see anyone meet a stranger. Even I was talked to like they had known me for years. It's a great feeling.I also love being so secluded, yet 10 to 15 minutes from all the necessities like a grocery store and entertainment. The town has one store, a dollar store, that can supply your immediate needs. There is actually much more to do near here than where I'm from.

Where I'm from is the type of place teenagers hang out at the local wal-mart. Here there are actual things to go and do. I say this and I haven't left the house in a 6 days...socializing isn't exactly something I am good at. Meeting new people is hard as well because I am unemployed and don't know anyone. I am borrowing my fiances friends for now.

Overall, If you have any doubts about moving to a small town, don't! While it takes getting use to. It seems worth it for the safety and community you are sure to gain in place of size.

Graduating and the Doctor

Hello all.

As you may or may not know, I am about to graduate from University. My post are sporadic because of testing and everything in life, but that time is coming to an end. One week from today I will be a graduate. I am extremely excited and nervous as I approach this part of life.

I will be moving in 12 days as well to a new state. I've never been so far from home and while it is scary, I am ready to embrace this new adventure with my fiance. I normally don't share personal photos on this blog, but today is different as I am extremely proud of my Graduation cap. My roommates as well!

I chose "Allons-y!" because David Tennant as the 10th Doctor was my favorite. Allons-y means "let's go!" in French and I find that it is super appropriate for taking on my future! I will graduate with my BSN so I had to represent that as well! The 3d glasses are associated with David Tennant and while I really wanted to use converse, I could NOT find any stickers or anything that would work!! (curse you hobby lobby). My roommate chose "Geronimo!" as Matt Smith is her favorite. It basically means "here I go!" in the context he uses it. She of course had to use a bow-tie! We both attempted to use Tardis blue but I really loved the glitter letters and she liked the puffy ones. Overall, we are proud of them.

Here's to whats to come!

The Cory and Topanga Effect

Hello, Hello!

Before reading this, be aware it is not a single girls anthem. I am very happily in a relationship since the age of 15. I also LOVE Boy Meets World. If you don't know what it is, drop everything that you are doing and go watch it right now!

Basically all you need to know
It is a fantastic show that for 7 seasons follows the life of Cory Matthews. The show came out in 1993, the year I was born, yet it holds up and is fantastic. What I want to mention about the show is the love of Cory and Topanga. They are the most meant to be together people in all of television history. Growing up I wanted my own Cory Matthews more than anything. I thought I had to fall in love at 12 and marry that person. I remember being terrified of dying alone at 12 years old. Thinking about it now seems silly but that was a real problem for me then.

I was thinking how, even now, that would be perfect. I have the longest relationship I know of for anyone my age and I STILL want the Cory and Topanga length added to my own relationship. It's silly. Life is silly sometimes. Sometimes we see things as ideal, when in reality they aren't, and we want it. Rewatching I see they weren't perfect. It's just so easy to get caught up in what isn't yours.

Just think about what you have and why it's important. No matter how big or small.

But it is okay to still love it ;)

Study Tips

Hello!!

I know, my title is extremely clever. I thought of it all by myself. wow. Such proud. Anyhow..

I am studying myself at the moment so I thought why not share how I study with the world? Now, why is how I study important. It is because I never had to until I was a sophomore in college. I mean, I did read through the material before class in middle and high school, but I never really studied. Teaching yourself to study in college is hard. I found that out the hard way.

sorry its huge...

1. DON'T wait until it's too late.
That first bad grade sucked. I bet you're sure it's just bad luck or an off day. What if it isn't? Do you really want to risk another bad grade? This is the first sign to study more. A sign that can easily be missed. It's better to study even when you know the material than not study at all.

2. Record the class.
I don't mean video, but audio record. I know, "Why would I want to listen to 3 hours of lecture again?". Here's why, you will be surprised at the little things you missed. What I do is I listen to the lecture then take notes on the notes I already have taken. I just add things I miss and underline what I didn't remember from the original lecture. It really helped me to better recall information.

3. Take study breaks!
Personally, studying makes me VERY sleepy. I can dose off while reading and doing other important things.  When this happens, I take a quick 15 minute nap or get some coffee or caffeine. Its better to take a break when I know I'm not retaining information anymore. my mind relaxes and when I dive back into studying I actually start remembering and recalling the information I need.

4. Study Buddies aren't required.
I am the worst study buddy. I will talk and change the subject and soon we will be googling who did what voice in a random Disney movie. I am aware of this and I tell people when they ask I prefer to study alone. I'm honest that I will probably not be helpful. That's okay. Being honest prevents me and the other person from wasting our time not studying.

I hope these tips were helpful! If you would like anymore please let me know!

Let Your Freak Flag Fly: My Love of Kpop

Hello again, friends.

One of the most unique things  about me is my love of Kpop. That is Korean pop music. People tend to think immediately of Gangnam Style, but it is much more than that. It is music with intricate dances and cool clothes and just amazingness. I bring this up because sometimes I get embarrassed when people bring it up to me. They genuinely seem surprised it's a thing and that I like it.

It is not the only type of music I listen to. I listen to American Pop, country, and rap. I also love British music. I am quite eclectic.

I post this because I shouldn't be ashamed of my music choices. I shouldn't be scared for people to hear my in the car playlist. Neither should anyone else reading this. So what if you're different? Be a hipster! Be a weirdo! I leave you with my favorite kpop gifs.

Girls Generation-Gee

Sistar- Ma Boy

Super Junior- Sorry Sorry

And those are just some dances that are notable at the top of my head. Everyone would say someone different. I also want to leave a song in case anyone is interested, so I will leave one of my favorites.

This is the song Some and it is pretty great.

PS. Girls Generation is my favorite.
