Fantastic Finds on Etsy

Hello again!

I was on pinterest, yass pinterest, and was looking at some lovely things when I wound up on etsy. If you haven't heard of etsy, it's kinda like a online handmade market. While some items aren't handmade, most are. You can search and browse through hundreds of stores and find unique items you may not have seen before.

I found a few things today that I find worth noting. I will include a link to the store of each item.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/185671775/rose-gold-druzy-earrings-drusy-earrings?ref=shop_home_active_20
The first is this gorgeous set of rose gold earrings. I, for one, am LOVING the hype on rose gold at the moment. This specific pair cost 40$, which to me is insane, but gorgeous anyways! They are made of druzy. which I personally have never heard of but apparently it;s the shiny part. They would be perfect with any outfit!

Another item I found is this precious wine rack! I think it would look great in a kitchen or dining area. My favorite part is the basket it has for holding corks, as I like to use corks for crafts. At $29.99, I think this wine rack is very reasonable considering it's size. Most I have found that I like are around $40.

Another item I found, which is honestly expensive but too cute not to share, are these little vases! They come in the set of 3 for $45. I personally cannot afford them, but oh my GOSH are they not precious? Perfect for flowers or make up brushes!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/197922256/handmade-bath-bombs10-extra-large-bath?ref=listing-shop-header-0
Finally, I found these bath bombs. They come in a set of 10 for $23.00. That's only $2.30 each! An average bath bomb at LUSH is about $5~, give or take. That is a great deal to me and there is nothing quite like a relaxing bomb with colorful water to make you happy. If anything, they make excellent gifts!

I truly love how Etsy has so many things, Sometimes its just fun to browse around the site and find random things you may never buy but have the option to. If you have anything you want to share, leave it in the comments!

When Foot Meets Mouth (and other tales)

Hellooo again!

It's been a productive week for me. I only have to finish my 5 page paper and make 2 presentations then I am done! for this week at least. I can say honestly I am proud of the efforts I put forth and was capable of fully enjoying this lovely Friday the 13th. Mostly.

I can say I am the most awkward person I know. I can also say that I have been told by several people that I am the most awkward person they know. It's an accomplishment, I suppose. This fact about myself leads me to find myself in situations where I have caused an awkward situation or one has fallen graciously in my lap. 2 have happened today. I'll share one with you.

The first was pretty bad. I had been shopping with my roommate all day and we finally took a bathroom break in the mall. No big deal, gotta go, ya gotta go. What I did not expect was the number of people who felt the urge at the same time as us. Now, the layout of this bathroom was interesting. Two long rows of stalls facing each other with a space between them that was maybe 3 foot apart. Maybe. With the lack of space I could not look under the doors to see if I could see feet to find an empty stall. My brain decided, why not poke each door as you walk past? If it's lock it's occupied, if not free game! So I started poking doors and finally one opened! Finally, I thought until the door opened completely and I saw the top of the head of a lady bent over mid wipe. I couldn't see a thing, luckily not her face, but I could hear.

What I heard was a loud THUNK as the door slammed against this lady's head.

I was mortified. I went to the closest empty stall and hid. I then heard a voice that sounded like it came from the sweetest grandma ever, "I guess I should've locked the door".

Sorry to who ever's grandma I hit with a door. I just wanted to pee.

The second thing to happen I don't want to share at this point. This post is rather long as is.

Do remember these words this week. Sometimes what we say isn't what we mean. Words need to be considered carefully before they are expressed to other people. Especially to those most important to us.

What to Watch on Netflix

Hello again!

I DO want to post a disclaimer that I actually have been productive. I could possibly finish everything I have due on Sunday by TOMORROW! What! It is amazing.

I want to take this time to talk about something important to me. Netflix. I do discuss it a bit more than I should BUT it is something I know a bit about. I always know people who cannot seem to find anything on Netflix to watch so I am just going to make a list of recommendations. By categories of course.

TELEVISION SHOWS

Scrubs-follow Doctor John Dorian (J.D) through life and be prepared to ride a comedic roller coaster of emotions. Whether it be dating or death, this show covers it. It is one of my favorites.

Criminal Minds-This show is about a team of profilers who follow clues about who a killer really is to find, well, killers. It has some comedy but it is really interesting to watch along and try to find out who the killer is before they do. ALSO I recommend counting the number of times the word "meticulous" is used per episode.

Doctor Who- Time travel. I really can;t say anything more than you will never appreciate a hero the way you appreciate the Doctor.

Kitchen Nightmares- My fiance binge watched everything Gordon Ramsey and I kinda love him now. It's insane how people can complete ruin a restaurant. Plus watching food be cooked makes me happy.

MOVIES

The Emperors New Groove- Super underrated Disney movie. It will have you in hysterics. By far David Spade's best movie. I mean, he turns into a llama.

Silver Linings Playbook- People seem to either love this movie or hate it. I love Bradley Cooper personally and he is great at his role in this movie. He plays a character who just left a mental hospital without it being overdone and offensive. Oh, and Jennifer Lawrence is in it too.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil- Now, you may say you don't like horror movies. That's cool. I do but my fiance HATES them and loves this movie. It's more of a mock horror movie if you will. Follow simple country boys who try to go on a vacation have everything go wrong.

Breakfast at Tiffany's- I know, everyone has heard of it. So many people are obsessed with Audrey Hepburn but the reality is so many people haven't seen this movie. I watched it a couple years ago and it truly is a classic. It isn't completely amazing as I had expected but definitely something to watch.

Anyway, that's what I reccommend. Leave in the comments your reccommendations!

Have a great day!

Let's Get Down to Business

To defeat, the HUNS.

Helloooooo!
Sorry, I couldn't just stop at getting down to business. I also want to say you're welcome for the Mulan flash backs!

In all seriousness, it is so hard to do things when you know you have to. It's like the added need of being required to do something without having a say in it makes you not want to. Whether school or personal I always find it easy to say, "I can do that later". Sometimes later is 5 minutes before I need something and I am just sitting in a panic thinking to myself I need to type or drive faster.

Calvin and Hobbes said it best.

Currently, I have a paper to write. Not even a full paper, just a rough draft due by tomorrow. I have yet to start. I looked up my topic last night, proceeded to google it, then got distracted looking at wedding cakes on pinterest.

Let me say, I have never wanted to eat a cake so bad in my life as I have last night.

The whole time I was looking at cakes, I had the looming presence of knowing I had other things to do. My conscious kept reminding me I was not being productive and I could not fully enjoy looking through cakes as I would have had I not had other things to do. My goal for this week is to finish everything I have to do by next weekend by Tuesday. (Or at least as early as I possibly can). I encourage anyone who reads this to do the same. This way, when the weekend comes around again, there will be no guilt in trying to enjoy a fun Friday or Saturday.

As for my inspirational words for this week, I leave you with this. Get Shiz Done.

Hindsight VH1 :review

Hello again dorks :D

I must admit, I love watching television shows. Like a lot. When I have free time, that is what I'd most like to do. I mean it is super fun and provides laughter and entertainment.

Netflix is my homeboy.

Today I would like to talk to you about a current obsession of mine, Hindsight.

https://www.tumblr.com/search/hindsight%201x03

It is an amazing show about a girl named Becca who travels back in time to 1995, specifically to the day before her wedding to what is now, in 2015, her ex husband Sean. Becca is living the dream of getting to re-experience the 90s. Not only that, she get's to change her life in a very big way and the series follows her changes. The clothing and music are perfect. While I was not really aware of the world in 1995 (being 2 and all) I can appreciate the show in the same way people appreciate That 70s Show.

While the show is a VH1 original, the plot and characters are well rounded and by the end of the first episode, you will have already grown attached to them. The plot of each episode moves at a pace that keeps you interested, yet on your toes. All this 5 episodes in to a 10 episode show.

The best friend is amazing.

Her ex-husband is a stereotypical Australian hunk

Not to mention my personal favorite character, Andy. Who Becca was gonna marry for her second marriage before she went back in time (confusing I know).

Btw, Andy tweets back when you tweet him. Sometimes.

Overall, I highly recommend the show. It comes on Wednesdays at 9 and the episodes are all available here.

Letters to Me

Hello again!
It's been a while.

I've been busy doing real life things which was nice. I actually exercised today! What! I can't believe it either! Quite proud of myself actually. It wasn't much, but it's a start. Also got me off the internet which makes me happy a bit.
I recently thought of doing this post as a letter to young 12/13 year old me, things I wish I could've heard or would've known then that I know now.

Dear little me,

How's today? I hope it was good, but I remember most days seemed so terrible at this time. Being called ugly, fat, weird...or worse, some people not acknowledging your existence.

It sucks.
 No, it more than sucks.

That's okay, it doesn't suck forever. I know that means nothing to you because you are concerned with what's happening now not later. I can say this, you won't be alone forever. At this age no one realizes how wanting a relationship more than anything is bad, it is. It can lead to bad choices. I would know.

Sorry, *spoilers*.

I wouldn't change you for the world. When you are me, the future you, you are happy. You have friends. All the terrible things that happen and your life choices lead you where I am now. At 21 you will have almost everything you've ever wanted at 12. (not Cole Sprouse, sorry, but better)

Remember it gets better.

You get better.

Never stop being weird either, it makes you special. Even if special isn't always accepted, it will be when it matters.

As for advice, cut your hair, it looks bad. Just the bottom 2 inches. It'll flat iron better I promise.

Have a great life, for us.
sincerely,

Older you xx
