When Foot Meets Mouth (and other tales)

Hellooo again!

It's been a productive week for me. I only have to finish my 5 page paper and make 2 presentations then I am done! for this week at least. I can say honestly I am proud of the efforts I put forth and was capable of fully enjoying this lovely Friday the 13th. Mostly.

I can say I am the most awkward person I know. I can also say that I have been told by several people that I am the most awkward person they know. It's an accomplishment, I suppose. This fact about myself leads me to find myself in situations where I have caused an awkward situation or one has fallen graciously in my lap. 2 have happened today. I'll share one with you.

The first was pretty bad. I had been shopping with my roommate all day and we finally took a bathroom break in the mall. No big deal, gotta go, ya gotta go. What I did not expect was the number of people who felt the urge at the same time as us. Now, the layout of this bathroom was interesting. Two long rows of stalls facing each other with a space between them that was maybe 3 foot apart. Maybe. With the lack of space I could not look under the doors to see if I could see feet to find an empty stall. My brain decided, why not poke each door as you walk past? If it's lock it's occupied, if not free game! So I started poking doors and finally one opened! Finally, I thought until the door opened completely and I saw the top of the head of a lady bent over mid wipe. I couldn't see a thing, luckily not her face, but I could hear.

What I heard was a loud THUNK as the door slammed against this lady's head.

I was mortified. I went to the closest empty stall and hid. I then heard a voice that sounded like it came from the sweetest grandma ever, "I guess I should've locked the door".

Sorry to who ever's grandma I hit with a door. I just wanted to pee.

The second thing to happen I don't want to share at this point. This post is rather long as is.

Do remember these words this week. Sometimes what we say isn't what we mean. Words need to be considered carefully before they are expressed to other people. Especially to those most important to us.

Toodles Poodles. Have a great week.
